    Notice of Public Open House and Public Meeting for Modifications to the Adopted Official Plan

    The County of Peterborough has prepared modifications to the new Official Plan.  The County is hosting an electronic Public Open House and hybrid Public Meeting to consider the proposed modifications.

  • Public Notice

    The Tuesday, February 4 and Tuesday, February 18, 2025 the Committee of Adjustment Meeting(s) and Regular Meetings of Council will be held electronically.  You may join the meetings electronically or by phone by using the Zoom invitation available on the agenda.

  • Service Disruption

    Please be advised that the North Kawartha Community Centre (NKCC), located at 340 McFadden Road, Apsley, is currently experiencing an unexpected water service disruption, affecting the water bottle filling station and the fitness centre showers. 

    The issue is expected to be resolved, and service restored by Monday. January 27, 2025. 

  • Public Notice: Upcoming Roadside Brushing Operations

    The Township of North Kawartha would like to inform residents that the Roads Department will be conducting roadside brushing operations on the following roads in the coming days/weeks:

    • Montgomery Road
    • Rusaw Road
    • Glen Alda Road
  • Public Notice - Holiday Hours

    The Municipal office will be closed for the holiday season from Tuesday, December 24, 2024, at 12:00 p.m. and will re-open on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at 9:00 a.m. with normal business hours.

    The North Kawartha Community and Fitness Centre (NKCC) will close at 1:00 p.m. on December 24, 2024, and December 31, 2024. The NKCC will be closed all day on December 25, 2024, December 26, 2024, and January 1, 2025.

  • Sand is Available for Residents of North Kawartha Township

    In an effort to assist with residents’ concerns regarding winter ice on their private driveways and paths sand the Township now has the winter weather sand/salt mix available to residents for pick up at the following locations:

    • Public Works Garage, 10230 Highway 28, Apsley, ON
    • Wilson Park Community Centre, 66 Northey's Bay Road, Woodview, ON

    Salt is not available to the public.

    Please bring a shovel and storage container when you visit.

    No commercial businesses or contractors please.

    Stay safe, stay visible! Please keep your lights on while collecting sand and yield to Township staff

    The Council of the Township of North Kawartha has cancelled the Special Meeting for the purpose of Council education/training related to Planning Act Legislation.

    The Municipal Office will be closed between 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. on Friday, November 29, 2024, in support of a corporate function. 

  • Public Notice: Thursday, November 21, 2024 Cancelled Special Budget Council Meeting

    The Special Budget Council meeting scheduled for Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 9:30 a.m. has been cancelled. The first Special Budget Council meeting will take place on Wednesday, December 11, 2024, at 9:30 a.m.
