Declaration of Significant Weather Event Lifted

The Township of North Kawartha has lifted the declaration of Significant Weather Event, declared on Wednesday, February 12, 2025, in accordance with Ontario Regulation 239/02, the Minimum Maintenance Standards 

With this declaration lifted, the Township’s minimum maintenance standards timelines have been restored. Township of North Kawartha staff will continue to monitor weather forecasts closely and respond as necessary to ensure municipal roads remain safe and accessible. 

The Township extends its sincere appreciation to the Roads Department Equipment Operators for their dedication and hard work throughout the Significant Weather Event.
