Notice of Public Meeting for a Proposed Community Improvement Project Area and Amendment to the Community Improvement Plan for the Corporation of the Township of North Kawartha

Take Notice that the Council of the Corporation of the Township of North Kawartha shall hold a public meeting to inform the public and gather public input regarding an amendment to the Township of North Kawartha Community Improvement Project Area and the Community Improvement Plan in accordance with Section 28 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, c. P.13, as amended.

Date:            April 1, 2025

Time:            9:30 a.m.

Location:      Hybrid (In-person at the Council Chambers, 280 Burleigh Street, Apsley and Electronically via Zoom or by phone).

Purpose and Effect

The proposed amendments to the Community Improvement Project Area (CIPA) and the Community Improvement Plan (CIP) are as follows:

1.     To designate all lands within the jurisdictional boundaries of the Corporation of the Township of North Kawartha as a CIPA.

2.     To amend the CIP to allow for minor administrative and technical changes to the CIP, including occasional adjustments to the upset grant and loan amounts, without requiring a formal amendment to the CIP.

A Key Map showing the location of the lands subject to the proposed amendments is provided on a subsequent page of this notice.

Additional Information relating to the proposed amendments is available for inspection as of the date of this notice between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. at the Building and Planning Department at the Township Office located at 280 Burleigh Street, Apsley, Ontario K0L 1A0.

Meetings are held in a hybrid format and are open to the public. The zoom invitation is available on the current agenda page (link below) for those wishing to attend or participate in the meeting electronically.

Persons attending the meeting will be provided an opportunity to submit verbal comments regarding the proposed amendments.
