Introducing Darryl Tighe: North Kawartha's New Manager of Planning

North Kawartha is excited to welcome Darryl Tighe, M.Sc., RPP as the new Manager of Planning for the Township. Darryl will be responsible for the processing and staff recommendations on all planning and development applications, short-term planning, implementation of long-term planning policies and any other matters related to the comprehensive and orderly land-use development in North Kawartha Township. This role provides information and advice to Council, staff and the community related to land-use planning and zoning by-laws.  Darryl will be supported by the Junior Planner, Emily Fitzgerald.

Darryl is no stranger to the Township of North Kawartha and has provided planning services to the Township in the past as a consultant. He has broad experience with various municipalities as well as private clients. He is very proud to hold a Master of Science (Physical Geography), Rural Planning and Development from University of Guelph. Darryl is an extremely qualified Registered Professional Planner, holding a 25 Year Membership Certificate with the Ontario Professional Planners Institute. His expertise will be a benefit to the Township as we focus on planning and development into the future.
