The Municipal Office, at 280 Burleigh Street, Apsley, will remain closed on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 and Thursday, April 3, 2025, due to ongoing service disruptions resulting from limited internet and phone communications.
A Significant Weather Event declaration remains in effect for North Kawartha as cleanup efforts continue, and potential weather forecasts show freezing rain. The Public Works Department is clearing roads in priority order and cautions that some Township roads may be reduced to one lane.
Power outages persist across many areas. Residents are urged to stay away (10 metres) from downed power lines even if they do not appear to be live. Report power line damage to Hydro One at 1-800-434-1235.

Peterborough County residents may drop off brush free until April 14th at the following Public Works Depots:
· Douro – 713 County Road 4
· Millbrook – 1111 County Road 10
· Centreline – 1275 County Road 24
· Havelock – 649 County Road 46
· Buckhorn – 2467 County Road 36
