Social Services are provided by the City of Peterborough, Joint Services to Peterborough County including North Kawartha. Staff at Social Services work with people in the county who need help with the cost of food, shelter, childcare or finding a job.

Services offered include:

  • Emergency Shelter and Assistance
  • Employment Resources

Community Counselling and Resource Centre

The Community Counselling and Resource Centre is a charitable, non-profit, community-based agency based in the city of Peterborough that provides free services to residents of Peterborough City and County, including North Kawartha.

Services offered include:

  • Community Counselling
  • Community Service Orders
  • Credit Counselling Services
  • Housing Resource Centre
  • Employee Assistance Program
  • Public Education & Advocacy

Housing Resource Centre

The Housing Resource Centre helps people to find housing, keep housing, and to prevent homelessness. The Housing Resource Centre provides services to all people of all ages and stages of their lives. All services are free and available to people with or without income.
