Tipping Fees
Appliances
Appliance items containing a refrigerant (i.e. Freon) will have a charge of $20.00 per item to recover the refrigerant. Your Waste Site Pass allows you to drop off one free item containing a refrigerant.
Construction and Demolition (C&D) Material
Construction and Demolition Material is subject to a fee of $8 per garbage bag measuring 89cm x 127cm (35" x 50") equivalent to 35 gallons or .259 cubic yards.
A fee of $30 per cubic yard is charged for C&D Material (HST is included). An extra fee is applied for heaped and/or oversized loads.

Residential Program
Residential untagged household waste is subject to a fee of $1.00 per each standard size clear garbage bag measuring 76cm x 94cm (30” x 37”). Bag Tags are available for purchase at the Municipal Office or at the Transfer Stations, with your Waste Site Pass.
Commercial Program
Commercial, untagged, household waste is subject to a fee of $1.50 per each standard size garbage bag measuring 76cm x 94cm (30” x 37”).
Leaf and Yard Waste
Leaf and Yard Waste is subject to a fee of $5 per garbage bag measuring 89cm x 127 cm (35" x 50") equivalent to 35 gallons or .259 cubic yards.
A fee of $20 per cubic yard is charged for Leaf and Yard Waste (HST is included). An extra fee is applied for heaped and/or oversized loads.

Methods of Payment
Please be prepared to show your Waste Site Pass whenever you enter the Transfer Stations.
Please note: We cannot accept Credit cards at the Transfer Stations, but we do accept Debit cards, cash (exact change preferred), or cheque. Cheques are made payable to: The Township of North Kawartha.
Commercial invoices on account are due 15 days after receipt of the invoice, with a $2.00 per month penalty, beginning 30 days after the due date. After 60 days of non-payment, you will receive notice that materials can no longer be invoiced at the Transfer Station sites.
