Special Clean-Up Days

During the Summer and Fall months the Township of North Kawartha hosts Special Clean-Up Days at the Anstruther Transfer Station. The Spring 2024 Special Clean-up Days are on Saturday, June 8th, from 2 pm to 6 pm and Sunday, June 9th from 12 to 8 pm. The Fall 2024 Special Clean-Up Days are on Sunday, October 13th and Thanksgiving Monday, October 14th, from 10 am to 4 pm both days.    

At these events the Anstruther Transfer Station will accept items such as mattresses, couches/sectionals, and single chair/recliners (tipping fees will apply to these items).

The County of  Peterborough's Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Depot at the Anstruther Transfer Station will be open by the time of the Spring Clean-Up Days. The Depot runs on Sundays from 12 pm to 5 pm and Wednesdays from 10 am to 1 pm, beginning June 2nd until early September.
